Question everything, trust selectively, and never underestimate humanity's capacity to make a bad situation worse.
Randy Smith is an aerospace engineer, novelist, unapologetic cynic, and lifelong observer of human behavior, particularly the kind people would rather keep hidden.
His stories were born at thirty thousand feet, listening to strangers confess things they probably shouldn't have. Some were tragic. Others were hilarious. A few made him reconsider sitting next to strangers.
His writing explores human nature, ambition, power, hypocrisy, and the uncomfortable distance between what people believe and what they actually do. His novels challenge readers to question their assumptions, their convictions, and occasionally their sanity.
Randy doesn't claim to have all the answers. He's increasingly suspicious of people who do.
His philosophy is simple: Question everything, trust selectively, and never underestimate humanity's capacity to make a bad situation worse.
Welcome to his corner of the internet, where sarcasm is intentional, cynicism is earned, and being offended is entirely optional.
Be Cynical. Think for Yourself.
